Information Security Policy

At MRI Japan Inc. (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”), our philosophy is to conduct business based on “founding a rich future through working people.”
The handling of customer information assets is extremely important to our business foundation.
Any personnel handling information assets, which includes any executives and employees who handles such information, recognize the importance of protecting information assets from various risks including information leakage, damage, and loss. All personnel are bound to comply with company policy and conduct all relative activities in such a manner to maintain the confidentiality, integrity and availability of said information assets.

Company Policy

  1. The Company has established an information security policy to protect customer information assets. All business activities are conducted under this policy, which complies with information security related laws, regulations and other norms, and ensure customer contracts are protected.

  2. The Company has established clear criteria for analyzing and assessing the risk to information assets including leaks, damages, and losses. The Company has also established systematic risk assessment methods, which are carried out on a periodic basis. In addition, the Company will implement all necessary and appropriate security measures based on the results of these assessments.

  3. The Company has established an information security system centered on the executives in charge and will always clarify the authority and responsibility chain concerning such information security. In addition, all employees recognize the importance of information security and are subject to regular education, training as well as awareness building to ensure the proper handling of information assets.

  4. The Company regularly performs checks and audits the status of compliance with regards to the information security policy as well as the handling of information assets. Corrective actions will promptly be taken when any deficiencies or improvements are identified.

  5. The Company will take the appropriate measures should an incident or breach of information security occur and follow an established response procedure to minimize damage in the event that such an incident should occur. The Company will respond promptly and take appropriate corrective action. In addition, the Company will establish a management framework to focus on incidents that interrupt business and review them regularly to ensure business continuity.

  6. The Company has established an information security management system that sets goals to realize as well as execute the basic company philosophy, while continuously reviewing and improving the system.
